Women's Health Hot Line
National Women's Heart Health Day: February 1   Heart disease kills over 240,000 women each year, and is the biggest killer disease of women, facts too long overlooked.

National Women's Heart Health Day, which is observed on the first of February each year, provides an opportunity to promote heart health in women by focusing attention on risk factors for heart disease in women and what women can do to reduce their risk. The need for more research on heart disease in women is also emphasized as well as differences in diagnostic tests and cardiac treatments in women.

National Women's Heart Health Day was founded as a public service by heart patient, author and professional speaker Charlotte Libov. If you are a member of the media, or wish more information for your hospital, association, business, school, company or other institution, e-mail Charlotte at char@libov.com to learn even more about this event.
